Rev. Alfons Gea, a Catalan priest and cousin of Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, has appeared to confirm the sexual nature of allegations against the 74-year-old Archbishop of Rabat, Morocco. Cardinal López, a Spanish-born Salesian, is a prominent supporter of Pope Francis’s agenda, was appointed Archbishop of Rabat in 2017 and a cardinal in 2019. On Monday, he announced that he would temporarily withdraw from public celebrations and pastoral ministry while the Vatican conducts a preliminary investigation into allegations involving at least five adult women. He has admitted to “inappropriate behaviour” but denies committing sexual assault, violence, or harassment. ElPaís.com has described the allegations as sexual abuse, rather than merely inappropriate hugs or gestures. Writing for Exaudi.org, Rev. Gea said his cousin had already begun privately accepting the possible consequences: “The image of a papabile, a figure who enjoyed such widespread affection, has come crashing down." And: …Ibindi

There’s hope for creation Liturgy of Sunday, July 12, 2026 - 15th Ordinary Time Dear brothers and sisters, the hope that creation places in the revelation of the children of God, as St. Paul reminds us in the second reading we're going to listen to on Sunday, July 12th, in accordance with the Father's wise plan, lies in two considerations: First of all, in the dimension of time, the children of God in relation to our wonderful planet, our beautiful common home, together with all the people of good will, could make a difference, by living "temperately in this world” and thus contributing not to its destruction but to its preservation for future generations... However, the hope of creation lies primarily in the dimension of the afterlife. Indeed, the children of God, recapitulating in themselves all the perfections of the visible universe and possessing the "firstfruits" of the Holy Spirit, will bring creation to its complete fulfillment in the resurrection on the last day, when Christ …Ibindi
First Canadian Town Grants Trees a 'Right to Life': On 9 June, the town of Terrasse-Vaudreuil in Quebec, home to around 2,000 people, became the first place in Canada to adopt a resolution enshrining the 'rights' of trees. The resolution includes rights such as the right to life, natural growth, integrity and regeneration. Mayor Michel Bourdeau said the initiative was inspired by filmmaker André Desrochers and his film 'Des arbres et des arts'. Meanwhile, around 30,000 human beings are aborted in Quebec each year, and more than 100,000 in Canada as a whole. Since its legalisation in 2016, more than 100,000 Canadians have died through euthanasia (MAID).

Under Spanish law, his effective prison term is expected to be capped at 20 years.

Unlocking Catholic Social Teaching: Dr. Martinez Introduces the Ave Maria Economics Course "God did not call us from the eyebrows down—He wants us to use our brains." Dr. Gabriel Martinez joins us to shatter the myth of the 'divided life' in business and economics. Every financial, corporate, or political decision we make isn't just a technical choice—it's a deeply human, moral decision. Dr. Gabriel Martinez, economics professor at Ave Maria University, steps into the living room to introduce a groundbreaking, completely free online resource: the Ave Maria Economics Course, hosted by The Pursuit of Wisdom. Condensing three full semesters of dense academic material into seven clear, highly accessible lectures, Dr. Martinez bridges the gap between modern market principles and the foundational pillars of Catholic Social Teaching. He unpacks why popular political ideologies often distort Church teaching by overemphasizing one truth (like human dignity or solidarity) while completely abandoning …Ibindi
Bishop of Liège Wishes New FSSPX Priest Well: Bishop Jean-Pierre Delville of Liège, Belgium, wished Fr. Vincent Richter, ordained for the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X at Écône on 29 June, well in his future mission in Brazil and urged him to serve Christ "as an authentic disciple of the Gospel." His tone was firmer after the FSSPX's four episcopal consecrations on 1 July without a papal mandate, describing them as deepening the Society's separation from Rome while still calling for continued dialogue.
Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe spoke to AdVaticanum.com on July 4 about his participation in a London Eucharist at Holy Apostles Church including a liturgical blessing for a homosexual couple. The interview is obvious gaslighting, not to say blatant lying, given that the livestream had been published on YouTube. The event was held on June 13 to mark the 50-year homosexual partnership of Julian Filochowski and Martin Pendergast, two longstanding figures in "pastoral outreach" to homosexual Catholics. The principal celebrant was Fr. Jim O'Keefe, with concelebrants including Bishop John Crowley, emeritus of Middlesbrough, and Bishop John Rawsthorne, emeritus of Hallam. "I gave no blessing to anyone" Cardinal Radcliffe claimed: "I gave no blessing to anyone and had not been aware that any blessings would be given." However, the picture above shows him making the sign of the cross during the blessing of the two homosexuals standing side by side like a married couple. The text was based on a …Ibindi

Run of Saint Andrew: Amalfi's Centuries-Old Tradition. The spectacular 'Run of Saint Andrew' in Amalfi, Italy, is part of a centuries-old celebration honoring Saint Andrew, the city's patron saint. According to local tradition, on 27 June 1544, as the fleet of the Ottoman corsair Khayr al-Din Barbarossa threatened Amalfi, the townspeople prayed for Saint Andrew's intercession. A violent storm scattered the enemy ships, and the city was spared. Each year on 27 June, bearers carry the silver reliquary bust of Saint Andrew at a run up the 62 steps of Amalfi Cathedral, commemorating this traditional account of the city's deliverance.
