The final criminal case against the Catholic pro-life investigator David Daleiden has been dismissed. This ends a nearly decade-long legal battle stemming from his undercover investigation into the abortion industry. Daleiden released in 2015 a series of undercover videos showing that officials connected to Planned Parenthood Federation of America sold body parts and fetal tissue of aborted babies. In 2016, the office of then–California Attorney General Kamala Harris (2011-2017) prosecuted Daleiden and his colleague Sandra Merritt related to illegal recording (invasion of privacy). She did not prosecute Planned Parenthood. Over time, more than half of the charges were dismissed by a judge. Instead of going to trial on the remaining charges, David Daleiden agreed in 2025 to the deal “no contest” (nolo contendere) . It allows a defendant to resolve a criminal case without admitting guilt while accepting the court’s judgment. The agreement included no jail time, fines, or probation, …མང་བ།
The Boatman’s Lesson A ferryman was taking a man across the river. The passenger noticed words carved into the oars: one read “Think,” the other “Act.” “Why do you have those?” he asked. Without answering, the ferryman began rowing with the “Think” oar alone. The boat spun in circles. “I used to spend all my time thinking,” he said calmly. “Planning, analyzing… but never moving forward. Just like this.” Then he switched and rowed only with the “Act” oar. The boat spun the other way, still going nowhere. “Then I tried the opposite—jumping into action without thinking. I burned energy, stayed busy… but got nowhere.” Finally, he took both oars and rowed together. The boat moved straight ahead, steady and smooth. “That’s when I understood,” he said. “Thought without action keeps you stuck. Action without thought does the same. Only together do they move you forward.” As they approached the shore, the passenger noticed a beautiful house nearby. “I built that,” the ferryman added …མང་བ།

"We have damaged the liturgy," said Cardinal Robert Sarah in a video interview with Le Figaro Idées (April 2). "It is too noisy. Too noisy. As if we were celebrating ourselves." He warned against reducing worship to mere "conviviality", insisting that a more sober liturgy celebrates the greatness of God. Cardinal Sarah also said: "Today, we practically never speak about salvation," and cautioned that "if the Church does not speak about the soul and what will happen to it after death, then it fails in its mission."
«L’Église a abimé la liturgie de la messe. Elle est trop bruyante ! C’est comme si on se célébrait nous-même. C’est devenu un moment convivial, alors que nous sommes là pour adorer Dieu, il faut une liturgie qui adore Dieu. On ne parle plus du salut et de l’âme !», se désole le cardinal Robert Sarah dans Le Club Le Figaro
A couple moved into a new apartment. One morning, just after waking up, the wife glanced out the window and saw their neighbor hanging laundry outside. “Look at that,” she said. “Her laundry is still dirty.” Her husband kept reading his newspaper and didn’t respond. “Maybe she’s using cheap detergent,” the wife continued. “Or maybe she just doesn’t know how to do laundry properly. Someone should really teach her.” And every time the neighbor hung clothes out to dry, the wife would comment on how “dirty” they looked. Then one morning, she looked out the window and exclaimed, “Oh wow! Her laundry is finally clean! Looks like she learned how to wash properly after all!” Her husband calmly replied, “Actually, I got up early today and cleaned our window.” That’s how it is in life. What we see often depends on the window we’re looking through. And before we rush to judge others, it’s worth making sure our own perspective—and our own heart—is clear.
In a quiet mountain valley, there lived an old man whose only possession was a magnificent white horse. The animal was so graceful and powerful that it seemed almost unreal. Kings and wealthy nobles sent messengers offering fortunes in gold for it, but the old man always refused. “This horse isn’t my property,” he would say. “He’s my friend. And you don’t sell a friend.” One cold, foggy morning, the stable was empty. The horse was gone. The villagers gathered at the old man’s home, shaking their heads. “You fool!” they said. “We told you to sell that horse while you had the chance. Now you’ve lost everything—no money, no horse. What a terrible misfortune!” The old man listened calmly and replied, “Don’t go so far with your judgments. Just say the horse is gone—that’s a fact. Everything else is interpretation. Whether it’s a misfortune or a blessing, I don’t know. I only see a small piece of the picture. Who knows what comes next?” The villagers laughed, convinced he had lost …མང་བ།

THE MYSTERIES OF THE ROSARY Fifth Mystery of Light: The institution of the Eucharist. In the Fifth Luminous Mystery, “By celebrating the Last Supper with His Apostles in the course of the Passover meal, Jesus gave the Jewish Passover its definitive meaning. Jesus' passing over to His Father by His Death and Resurrection, the new Passover, is anticipated in the Supper and celebrated in the Eucharist, which fulfils the Jewish Passover and anticipates the final Passover of the Church in the glory of the Kingdom". (Article 1340 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church)

Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "This is My blood." (Matthew 26:26-29)
Solemn Procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament at the conclusion of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem, celebrated this morning by His Beatitude Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
He could have retired to a mansion. Instead, he bought 6 tons of beef, 7,000 cakes, and 8,700 bricks of ice cream — and invited every man, woman, and child in three counties to come eat for free. His name was Edgar Byram Davis, and his story is one of the most extraordinary acts of generosity in American history. Davis grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts. He worked his way up from the shoe business to become a wealthy rubber industry investor. Then, at 46 years old, he followed his brother to a small, struggling farming town in Texas called Luling — where geologists had unanimously declared there was no oil worth finding. He drilled anyway. Six wells. All dry. His company sank into debt so deep that his phone was disconnected and the bank wouldn't cash a seven-dollar check. Most men would have walked away. Davis drilled a seventh well. On August 9, 1922, Rafael Rios No. 1 exploded 200 feet into the sky. Within two years, the Luling field was producing 43,000 barrels of oil per day. A …མང་བ།
